Who we are

A family business woven into Victoria’s history

Chez Deenu Pty Ltd is a Seychelles company engaged in import, wholesale and retail trading, based on Quincy Street in Victoria, Mahé. We import and distribute food, beverage, household and personal-care brands to the local trade, run our own supermarket, and manage residential and commercial property.

Our family’s trading roots in Seychelles stretch back well over a century – the company describes its presence as spanning some 150 years. Today we remain committed to the values our founder lived by: quality, fairness and keeping our word.

Our founder

Remembering Mr Deenu

K.D. Pillay (1938–2014), known across Seychelles simply as “Mr Deenu”, was a respected entrepreneur and philanthropist. Beyond business he served on the Victoria District Council, played a key role in building the first Hindu temple in Seychelles, was Honorary Consul of Nigeria and chaired the Diabetic Society of Seychelles.
